Truth be told, I still get anxious and that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when I think about that Thursday afternoon. Oh my goodness, y'all! I haven't been that nervous over something in a long time. But I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. All for her, my baby sister. Who is ENGAGED now!
You have no idea how many sleepless nights I've had. Or how much anxiety I've suffered from this. Devin asked me a few weeks ago about photographing him proposing to Caitlin. Immediately I said yes. And away we went to planning all the details. One morning Devin and I rode around looking at some different locations. I happened to think of one of our farms and how the trees along the creek bank are usually always so pretty. I told Devin the directions and up the driveway we went. He knew it was the perfect spot as soon as we pulled up. We came up with a story to tell Caitlin, to get her in the truck with Devin that afternoon. Devin has been in the process of looking at a house to purchase for sometime, so we ran with that storyline. He changed it up a bit saying that he had found a piece of property that was for sale, hoping to buy it now and build on it in the future. He told Caitlin they were going to meet the realtor there. Devin even changed my name in his phone to the name of their realtor. I ended up hiding in a tobacco barn for what felt like hours while waiting on them to show up. The rest is history.
I couldn't more excited for my sister. For Devin. For the both of them. For our family. Now it's time to plan a wedding for two of the sweetest people I know!
